Station Curbing

Hunter Pump Islands offers two types of curbing updates for around the station/ C-Store: standard and cap over. The decision of standard curbing versus cap over curbing is at the crew leader’s discretion and is based on the curbing layout, door position, ramps, etc.

  • Standard Curbing is the process of cutting the existing station curbing back about 3” to remove the deteriorated curb, and then adding roughly 10” of new concrete to the sidewalk, and wrapping it in 304 #4 gauge stainless steel.

  • During the Cap Over Curbing process, we add roughly 8” of new concrete to the existing width of the station curb, as well as add a 2” cap over of new concrete to the entire sidewalk. We then wrap it all in 304 #4 gauge stainless steel.
